Derby Raynet members recently gathered in

Steve’s talk started with a basic explanation of what Software Defined Radio is and how it is structured, along with the role that it has to play in Amateur Radio. The talk was well illustrated with good clear understandable slides from a PowerPoint slide presentation.
Steve then
progressed to explain and show us the Flex Radio concept and equipment and how it has been designed with a modular concept, which has made it future proof. The software side was also well demonstrated and again this is upgradeable freely and available to keep your SDR up to date with the latest functions and facilities.

The evening came to an end with question and answers over Coffee and Biscuits.

Those that did not come along really did miss a very good evening, which was well put over and demonstrated. Thanks again to Steve G8EBM for giving us the talk and demonstration and making the venue available.
